Yesterday, we visited the Institute of Historical Research and were given a fantastic talk and tour by the Institute’s librarian Matthew Shaw.

After a brief introduction to the history of the IHR, Matthew showed us around their European collection and the IHR’s project on the Low Countries c17-18th pamphlets, along with other highlights including association copies and books used as ‘soft power’ in the past.

It was thoroughly enjoyed by all and current University of London students should take note- its free to register with the IHR if you’re a UoL student and use their collections. So what are you waiting for!
