Bibliophiles events take place each month during the two main teaching terms of the University of London, and we organise our annual programme over the summer months preceding the academic year. However, members often approach us with wonderful opportunities, and we are always happy to collaborate on events, or, indeed, to help members promote events we feel other members would enjoy.
This year our high-achieving committee member Arendse Lund curated an exhibition at Lambeth Palace Library, based on research undertaken through UCL’s English Department, and with support from the London Arts and Humanities Partnership. She and the Library very kindly organised a launch event with the Bibliophiles on 20 June 2019.
Arendse blogged about the event on the award-winning Research Engagers blog on 12 June 2019, and more generally on 19 December 2018 about some of the manuscripts she discovered at Lambeth in the course of her research.

Arendse has an article in The London Student, ‘A Peek Inside Lambeth Palace Library’s Exhibition, “Writing the Law”‘, and will be at the next open day when you can see the exhibition, on 2 August 2019.
